Tips to get an "AUTHENTIC" Couples Session You'll Love!

COUPLES! Ever look at photos on the internet of all these “picture perfect” cute couples & wonder, “Why don’t MINE ever turn out like that”? Well, maybe try a few of these tips out your next session & see if they help! :)

1st - OUTFITS! They’re more important than you probably think! We subconsciously pick up on little things, like color, without even realizing it! If you wear something with BRIGHT NEONS or crazy BUSY PATTERNS.. that will be a pretty big distraction you most likely wont want. NEUTRALS are always a WIN! They’re timeless & easy on the eye.. you can’t go wrong! You will look back years from now & not wonder, “what the heck was I thinking wearing that!” lol.

2nd - SPEND QUALITY TIME TOGETHER BEFORE! Make sure to have PLENTY of time prior to your session with your partner! Nothing is great about being all frazzled, rushed, & irritated by the time you arrive to your session. Believe it or not, the photos will show it. If your aiming for those REAL, authentic, loving photos - that’s what you guys have to bring! So carve out an hour or so before to maybe go to your guys’ fave spot, or just stay in & cuddle a little.. look at each other a lot, tell each other what you love most about one another.. BRING OUT ALL THE FEELS! (it will show)

3rd - COME VULNERABLE & READY TO HAVE FUN! Speaking of “bringing out the feels”, you have to be vulnerable to do that! Your photographer can only do so much if you aren’t open or willing to get a little silly! I know we’re constantly wondering what we look like, especially with a camera up in out grill, BUT most of those REAL, authentic, photos are the “in-between” shots! Where your vulnerable & just having FUN, almost forgetting the cameras there! I will say this a million times over, TRUST YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER! Know it’s their job to capture your good angles & make you look good! So leave those critical, self judgmental thoughts aside. KNOW YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER GOT CHU’, GET SILLY, & HAVE SOME FUN! (How ironic, those “perfect” pictures are when you stop trying to be picture PERFECT!)
